Education and Outreach

The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy provides people of varying ages and interests a way to protect our watershed. We have dozens of events annually that are outside, fun, social and provide a hands-on educational experience. The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy has hundreds of partners and connects to thousands of individuals annually.

Examples of events include tree plantings, stream cleanups, conservation garden workshops, storm drain stenciling, canoe river cleanups, forums, and educational workshops. We also exhibit at public fairs and events where we provide information on watershed restoration.

If you would like a member of our staff to speak at your next neighborhood association, scout troop, book club, faith-based or other meeting, contact Gunpowder Valley Conservancy Vice President of Operations, Charlie Conklin.
