With the help of 10,000 volunteers, the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy has removed 196 tons of trash from streams and creeks in the Gunpowder watershed! We need YOUR help to remove more.
Sign up for a Project Clean Stream clean-up
We are seeking individuals and volunteer groups to participate in our annual Project Clean Stream event at various locations throughout the Gunpowder Watershed. Choose from streams nearest to your home or those that really need your help!
Community service learning hours available. Perfect for students, Scout troops, religious affiliation groups, corporate volunteer groups, families, singles and neighbors! Children ages 8 years and up must be accompanied by an adult.
When: RAIN OR SHINE! Please arrive by 9:45 am to sign in. Clean up begins at 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Trash bags, and refreshments will be provided.
What to wear: Bring your own work gloves. Wear rubber boots, (we will be cleaning trash stuck on debris in the water as well), pants, long sleeve top, and hat. Bring rain gear, water bottle and tick repellent.
