Volunteers needed for Spring 2017!

We are actively recruiting volunteers to help with tree plantings, as well as tree maintenance, throughout the year.

  • Reforestation Program Crew Chief (unpaid; multiple openings)
    • Help instruct general volunteers during spring and fall tree plantings.  Perfect for environmentally-conscious college students who need required community service hours or adults who care about nature and wildlife protection.

  • Reforestation Intern (unpaid; part-time)
    • Energetic and physically healthy person needed to assist in the planting of young native trees throughout the Gunpowder Watershed area to assist in the GVC Reforestation Program.
    • 25 Hours or more commitment for the spring and fall planting seasons to be provided during 6 tree planting events. Must be able to work on Saturdays and some weekdays.

  • Tree Maintenance Intern (unpaid; part-time – full-time)
    • Energetic and physically healthy person needed to assist in taking care of young planted trees in the Loch Raven Reservoir area.
    • Hours are flexible and can include weekends. Approximately 10 hours a week preferred. Commitment to a spring, summer and fall schedule is preferred but a June, July and August commitment is allowable.
