The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy is currently seeking candidates for a Watershed Restoration intern to assist with its Clear Creeks Project. Gain valuable skills and knowledge in watershed restoration. Participate in rain barrel workshops, rain garden workshops, Bayscape workshops, tree plantings, stream clean-ups and more!
- Duties: Assist Project leaders during tree plantings, tree maintenance, trail maintenance and invasive plant removal, installations of rain barrels, stream clean ups, and garden installations. Assist with administrative tasks, conducting surveys at workshops, and other tasks as needed.
- Time commitment: Four month internship. Must provide average of 15.5 hours per week. Position starts March 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020. Saturday work hours 9 am – 2 pm expected during project workshops and GVC events.
- Compensation: $11 per hour. Travel mileage at .58 cents/mile up to 400 miles.
