Why do generations of volunteers keep showing up for GVC? How can a golf course better serve the environment? Listen to eagles fly at Loch Raven Reservoir! Hear from the people who make it happen.
This summer, several Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC) staff, project partners, and longtime volunteers met with hosts Ilyana Kadushin and James Harrell to tape an episode of their No, I Know podcast. We were honored to be included in their 8 part series, “Waterways to Airwaves”, that examines community driven restoration projects across the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. This series is in partnership with Delmarva Public Media, the City of Salisbury, and Chesapeake Bay Trust.
If you are new to GVC, this is a great way to learn about our history!
- Listen to GVC’s epsiode of the No, I Know podcast
- Support our watershed community with a donation
It takes a Community to protect a Watershed. Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC) needs your support to reach our goal of raising $50,000 before the end of the year. Your tax-deductible donation promotes:
- Clean drinking water from Prettyboy and Loch Raven Reservoir
- Climate resiliency through native tree plantings and preserved lands
- Community pride in neighborhood streams that have regular clean-up events
- Pollinator habitat that also filters pollutants and reduces standing water
- Our shared vision of healthy lands, waterways, and communities
Just as all water in a watershed flows to a common body of water, all levels of support are needed and much appreciated. Thank you!
