Bayscape Workshop- Seven Courts
September 10, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Create a beautiful yard, preserve local waterways, and protect the Chesapeake Bay.
The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC), a Baltimore County-based land trust and watershed restoration non-profit, is looking for volunteers to help install a Bayscape garden at a local Perry Hall residence. Bayscapes replace lawn with native plants that support wildlife, reduce landscape maintenance, and filter rain water from your yard, driveway, roof, or other hard surfaces.
This free workshop includes:
- Brief presentation about the benefits of adding native plants to gardens
- Hands-on gardening opportunity – help add native plants to an almost-finished garden bed
- Clear Creeks Project information – learn how GVC can help you promote clean water at your home, business, or place of worship
