Newly planted trees need TLC to survive. Spend several hours to help young trees grow into healthy forests!
Tree maintenance involves removing invasive plants, checking planted trees to see if the shelter needs to be removed and removing if necessary, digging out the planting tube, and making sure the plant is upright.
A maximum of 10 people, including GVC staff, will be allowed to participate in this event. We are allowing minors (ages 13- 17) to attend our events as long as there is one parent/legal guardian per two children in attendance.
When: Saturday July 2, 2022 (10 am – 1 pm) . Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so you can sign in and receive tools.
What to bring: Wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and closed-toed shoes (boots are best!) Bring a hat, work gloves (if you have them), and a filled water bottle. Note: Participants are encouraged to wear face masks during this event. The event will be held outdoors and adhere to our COVID-19 social distancing policy.

The Skeet Range has a large wooden sign with white lettering that marks the entrance of the drive. We will be parking in the grass back past the main gate at the end of the driveway. It will be a short walk to our maintenance site from parking. Look for GVC event signs and a white Toyota Camry.
