DESCRIPTION:Registration is now closed for this event. Please visit our online calendar of events to view our other volunteer opportunities. Thanks! \nNote: Participants are expected to wear face masks during this event. The event will be held outdoors and adhere to our COVID-19 social distancing policy. \nNewly planted trees need TLC to survive. Spend several hours to help young trees grow into healthy forests! \nTree maintenance involves removing invasive plants\, checking planted trees to see if the shelter needs to be removed and removing if necessary\, digging out the planting tube\, and making sure the plant is upright. \nA maximum of 15 people\, including GVC staff\, will be allowed to participate in this event. We are allowing minors (ages 10 – 17) to attend our events as long as there is one parent/legal guardian per two children in attendance. \nEVENT INFO \nWhen: Sunday\, October 18\, 2020 (1 pm – 4 pm) . Please arrive 15 minutes early so you can sign in and receive tools. \nWhat to bring: Wear long pants\, a long sleeve shirt\, and closed-toed shoes (boots are best!) Bring a hat\, work gloves (if you have them)\, and a filled water bottle. \nUPDATED Directions: Loch Raven Reservoir area (on Dulaney Valley Road near Peerce’s Restaurant\, 12460 Dulaney Valley Rd\, Phoenix\, MD 21131.)  Please park on the grass under a row of trees on the west side of Dulaney Valley Road just south of Peerce’s Restaurant. Look for a white Toyota Camry parked there and park behind it. There will also be a GVC Event sign at the parking area. \nQuestions?
