Plant trees for cleaner air and water in Harford County!
More than 32,000 trees have been planted throughout the Gunpowder Watershed by enthusiastic volunteers over the past 33 years, and we need YOUR help to plant even more! Do you like being outside in nature and don’t mind working hard? Join us, and make a difference for future generations by planting trees at a local residence in Harford County, MD.

A maximum of 60 people, including GVC staff and volunteer leaders, will be allowed to participate in this event. We are allowing minors (ages 8 – 17) to attend our events as long as there is one parent/legal guardian per four children in attendance. Adults must sign COVID-19 waiver form. Note: Participants are not required to wear face masks during this event at this time.
EVENT DETAILS
Date: Saturday, October 29, 2022 (11 am – 2 pm). Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in. This event is rain or shine.
Location: Private Residence Starting off on I-83 N take exit 24 towards Sparks. Merge onto E Belfast Rd and follow for one mile. Turn right onto MD-45 S, in 0.4 miles Turn left onto Sparks Rd. Follow for 2 miles and Turn left onto Carroll Rd. Follow Carroll Rd for 2 miles and then turn right onto Monkton Rd. Follow for a little under a mile and then turn left onto Markoe Rd. Continue onto State Hwy 562 and then in 0.5 miles turn onto Houcks Mill Rd. Destination will be on left. Look for GVC event signs.
What to bring: Remember to wear boots, pants, long sleeve shirt, hat, gloves, and bring rain gear. Each volunteer will need to bring their own labeled water bottle. Water jugs for refill and packaged snack bars will be provided.
