SUMMARY:Tree Maintenance
DESCRIPTION:Note: Participants are encouraged to wear face masks during this event. The event will be held outdoors and adhere to our COVID-19 social distancing policy. \nNewly planted trees need TLC to survive. Spend several hours to help young trees grow into healthy forests! \nTree maintenance involves removing invasive plants\, checking planted trees to see if the shelter needs to be removed and removing if necessary\, digging out the planting tube\, and making sure the plant is upright. \nA maximum of 10 people\, including GVC staff\, will be allowed to participate in this event. We are allowing minors (ages 13- 17) to attend our events as long as there is one parent/legal guardian per two children in attendance. \nClick here to sign up for the event \nEVENT INFO \nWhen: Sunday\, June 13\, 2021 (10 am – 1 pm) . Please arrive 15 minutes early so you can sign in and receive tools. \nWhat to bring: Wear long pants\, a long sleeve shirt\, and closed-toed shoes (boots are best!) Bring a hat\, work gloves (if you have them)\, and a filled water bottle. \nDirections: Loch Raven Skeet and Trap Center (12301 Dulaney Valley Road\, Phoenix\, MD 21131).  From I-695\, take exit 27 –Dulaney Valley Rd. north. Go a few miles over the Loch Raven Reservoir bridge. Bear right at the light after the bridge. Turn at second right into the Skeet and Trap Center. Soon after you enter the driveway\, look for white Toyota Camry and park behind with one tire on grass and one tire on driveway. \nQuestions?
