Love Your Drinking Water? Love the GVC!

Water sustains us all. The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC) is proud to have not one but two reservoirs--Prettyboy and Loch Raven--within our watershed boundaries. You could say we're drinking water stewards!

Become a champion for clean water and land preservation with a tax-deductible donation to the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy. With your support we are able to:

  • Protect more land in conservation easements
  • Improve forest habitat by planting native trees and removing invasive plants
  • Improve local waterways by coordinating stream clean-ups
  • Inform people on ways to reduce pollution by implementing Bay-Wise practices on their property (e.g. rain barrels, rain gardens)
  • Provide hands-on environmental stewardship opportunities for volunteers of all ages
